The ULLtraDIMM closes the last performance gap in current storage infrastructures by placing flash as close as possible to the CPU and applications. The ULLtraDIMM's innovative design connects flash storage to the memory bus using the DIMM form factor. This enables a new generation of applications that require ultra-low latency access to cost effective storage devices.
The ULLtraDIMM achieves an astounding 5 microsecond write latency, outperforming all existing flash storage devices on the market, including PCIe-based drives. The ULLtraDIMM comes in capacities of 200GB and 400GB, and utilizes 1xnm MLC flash.
SMART Storage Systems' Guardian Technology Platform allows the ULLtraDIMM to leverage the lowest-cost MLC flash available on the market, while providing up to 10 Drive Writes Per Day to meet the endurance needs of write intensive and mixed-workload applications.
Fits into existing memory slots
The DIMM form factor allows the ULLtraDIMM to be used in any existing memory slot on the motherboard, fully interoperable with RDIMMs, enabling it to be deployed in any server or blade system found in enterprises today. Capacity can be scaled linearly with each additional ULLtraDIMM that is inserted into a memory slot.
Ultra Low Latency and Scalable I/O Performance
The ULLtraDIMM provides less than 5 µsec write latency, the lowest in the industry, closing the gap between storage devices and system memory. The ULLtraDIMM achieves random performance of 150K read IOPS and 65K write IOPS, 1GB/s and 760MB/s of sustained read/write performance and can scale I/O performance linearly while maintaining consistent write latency.
The ULLtraDIMM is powered by SMART Storage Systems' proprietary Guardian Technology Platform, a comprehensive suite of innovative flash management and enterprise features comprised of FlashGuard, DataGuard, and EverGuard technologies.
